In the season of dharnas, commitments and betrayals (remember one by TuQ with his followers), the granddaughter of man of steel – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif – was married with the son of most mysterious man from Southern Punjab having power roots in the Royal Family of U.A.E. Yes it was Nikah of Maryam’s daughter with the scion of Chaudhry Munir from Rahim Yar Khan. The ceremony was observed silently and solemnly but why?
He is always seen standing behind Bilwal Bhutto Zardari and is also not liked by the most of PPP leaders. Recently he (yes, Hasham Riaz Sheikh) faced Bilwal’s wrath when he angered Kamran Khan (upcoming BOL TV’s top anchor). Kamran had reached the Bilwal House Karachi to call on Bilawal on latter’s invitation but the ‘loyal Sheikh’ kept him waiting and did not inform the boss about his arrival which annoyed media’s ‘King Khan’ and he left without meeting the PPP chairman.
Western diplomats’ love for Imran Khan is fast fading apparently due to former’s soft stance towards forces-of-terror (Taliban). Recently in a farewell reception held in honour of outgoing Canadian High Commissioner, U.S. ambassador to Pakistan as well as the aforementioned High Commissioner of Canada assailed PTI’s Khan terming him ‘the part of Taliban’. “Why does not Khan condemn attacks of Taliban on ANP leaders?” were the words of recently-departed Canadian High Commissioner.
The Chaudhrys’ fondness for self-styled revolutionary cleric started turning sour when Dr Tahirul Qadri did not share with them the details of his much trumpeted meeting with the Army Chief. The Canadian cleric kept the details of the meeting in his chest and was reluctant to take allies from PML-Q, MWM and SIC into confidence. The clever maoulvi also did not take allies on board regarding management and projected cost of jalsas in various cities but once the processions were over he handed over bills to the partners of so-called revolution telling them it was their payable share. Now the un(holy) alliance is taking last breaths.
