Following the launch of MARIA.B.’s pioneering Pashmina and Premium Luxury Linen 2014 collections, the designer label showcased a newcollection of bridal wear on the opening dayof Bridal Couture Week 2014.
MARIA.B.’s La Roseraie, which translates to the Rose Garden, was a dreamy, feminine collection inspired by 18th Century France. The collection was predominantly based in a colour palette consisting of pastels but also featured a selection of ensembles in monochrome shades. One observed luxe fabrics such as organza, nets and silks in elegant, European cuts and modern silhouettes comprising of long gowns, short shirts, skirts, crop tops, short body jackets and cigarette pants. The designer had employed the innovative use of digital prints, motifs and embellishments to impart a feeling of nostalgia and a vintage aesthetic to the collection. Renowned TV personalities MawraHocane and UrwaHocane participated in the brand’s showcase as celebrity showstoppers.
